Save the Children opens the contest: “Pana, te doy la mano”
The photo contest will reward the most inspiring stories of friendship between national and Venezuelan adolescents living in Colombia and Peru.

Save the Children invites adolescents to participate in the Photo Contest: "Pana, te doy la mano", which seeks to promote integration between Venezuelan and Colombian adolescents living in Colombia and Peru, highlighting stories of friendship that are an example of solidarity and empathy to the region.
More than 6 million Venezuelans live outside of their country, and it is estimated that more than 4.9 million reside in Latin America. The two host countries with the largest number of Venezuelan migrants in the region are Colombia and Peru, with 1.8 and 1.3 million people respectively, that are seeking to integrate into society, have access to education, employment and livelihoods that allow them to subsist in an environment of respect and freedom from discrimination.
Victoria Ward, Save the Children's Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, highlights: "We need to strengthen empathy and respect towards Venezuelan migrants, which includes children and adolescents who seek to integrate into the host countries with the desire to have a better future and contribute to society".
The contest is open to adolescents between 14 and 18 years of age who form a team composed of a national adolescent and an adolescent from Venezuela who have a story of friendship and integration to share. You can find the contest rules here: Bases of the Contest: "Pana, te doy la mano".
The Photography Contest: "Pana, te doy la mano" was launched on December 18, 2021, in the International Migrants Day, seeking to highlight stories of friendship that are an example for the region, and it is open until February 11, 2022. "We hope that through the photographic art, teenagers can share real stories of solidarity that set an example of empathy so that we can promote the integration of Venezuelan migrants in Peru and Colombia”, said Ward.
Participants will be able to win 2 tablets assigned to each country, which are part of the basic digital basket, which contributes to the reduction of the digital gap. It is very easy to participate in the Photo Contest: "Pana, te doy la mano":

2. Post your photo and friendship story publicly on your Facebook or Instagram profile, using the hashtag: #PanaTeDoyLaMano - For a valid participation at least one of the two teens must have made the post.
