#Crececonmigo aims to promote child rights in Panama

Panama, October 13, 2022 - Save the Children and the European Union launch the #CreceConmigo campaign as part of the “Panamá Protectora” project. The campaign aims to promote the importance of fulfilling the rights of children and adolescents, especially the right to live in a family.

We all have an important role to play in ensuring that children and adolescents in Panama have all their rights recognized, especially that they grow up under the protection and care of a family that constitutes a safe place for them.

From the #CreceConmigo campaign, we invite everyone to be informed about the rights of children and adolescents, to act, participate, demand, and ensure the fulfillment of those rights. Above all, listening to the voice of children, knowing what they have to say and taking it into account.

According to Karla Pinder, Manager of the “Panamá Protectora” Project, the protection of the rights of children and adolescents is an issue that requires the involvement of all sectors of society. "We all have to get involved, we have to participate, we have to know about rights, listen to what children and adolescents have to say. Remember that putting children and adolescents at the center means that whatever is done for them must be consulted with them," she said.

As part of the launch of the #CreceConmigo campaign and under the “Panamá Protectora” project, different initiatives will be promoted in the country aimed at protecting children, under the premise of the need to comply with all the rights of children and adolescents, always and in all places.

Citizens can be part of the campaign through the following actions: Join the #CreceConmigo campaign by sharing on your social networks, photos and videos that convey messages for the promotion of the rights of girls, boys and adolescents.
