Team and Job Purpose
The Financial Transformation team defines the Finance transformation roadmap, delivers standard reporting from the FMS system, leads the reporting transformation and move to the DWH and supports strategic projects including Coding, Member onboarding and FMS SaaS
The Finance Planning Tool and Cost Allocation Management (CAM) lead role is crucial in the FMS Transition Project. This role will ensure our needs for an automated financial planning tool and cost allocation requirements are met as we transition to a SaaS solution. Initially, the role will focus on requirements assessment, working closely with a Business Analyst and IT colleagues to understand our current state and strategic capabilities for a long-term solution. If a tactical solution is also needed, this role will ensure all existing requirements, including cost allocation, are addressed.
Key responsibilities include leading the requirements definition, selection, and implementation planning for a Planning and Analysis tool for SCI. The Finance Planning Tool and CAM lead will be essential in the assessment, selection, design, development, and implementation phases of the project, as well as in training and change management. They must ensure that the FMS systems evaluated are fit for Finance needs. This role is pivotal in bridging the project and Finance teams, coordinating decisions, testing, training, data migration, and change and communications planning.

Principle Accountabilities
- Lead on requirements definition, selection and implementation planning for a Planning and Analysis tool for SCI, representing both Country office and Global planning. This includes:
- Conduct a CAM methodology review with particular focus on questions relevant for CVA / Localization project progress
- Understand and document As-Is processes for CO and Centre Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting (Master- and Project/Sof level)
- Align IP Finance and Centre/Global Finance Planning process owners on one vision for an automated, tool supported, Planning, Budgeting and Analysis cycle
- Define business requirements for a Planning tool in close collaboration with IP and Global Finance Planning process owners
- Represent Finance requirements in system selection process
- Contribute to vendor assessment and ranking against requirements
- Lead impact analysis for process change to tool-based planning
- Lead high level tool implementation planning (with project team and vendor)
- Support development for an alternative CAM algorithm solution outside of our on-premise Agresso (new FMS or BI solution)
- Ensure any request for scope additions or issues that come up through our assess &select and design work are resolved in alignment with the aims of the project,
- Ensure that any issues or solutions that have an impact FMS Transition scope are brought to the relevant governance groups for review and approval, before any final decisions are made on how to proceed.
- Ensure regular updates on progress of the FMS Transition requirements and design work are provided to the Finance Function to ensure any decisions are in alignment with the Finance function’s aims.
- Ensure full pros and cons analysis is carried out and impacts fully assessed on each of the work packages involving SCI Finance input
- Lead the Finance SME input for FMS Transition, sharing knowledge and lessons learned, supporting other team members to resolve issues and complete deliverables, and represent the FMS Transition programme internally/ externally where required:
- Lead and track the work plan to ensure all upcoming activities are covered.
- Provide regular updates on progress against deliverables to the Project Manager and Project Lead, to ensure blockages can be resolved and priorities can be set and/or adjusted.
- Work proactively and where required cross-functionally, to address blockages and ensure milestones are achieved. Work with other SMEs to highlight interdependencies and work towards solutions.
- Be a change agent for the FMS Transition Project and act as the finance representative for the project in meetings and forums as required.
Experience and Skills
Essential
- SCI office planning experience and strong understanding of both – (1) CO project/SOF budgeting and (2) Master budgeting processes
- Strong general understanding of Planning, Forecasting and Analysis processes, good practices, challenges and success factors; including activity based budgeting
- Deep understanding of CAM methodology and processes, both big picture view and practical challenges on CO / award level
- Strong analytical skillset
- Ability to think strategically and visionary
- Excellent influencing and communication skills
- Quick learner and self-starter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex issues to a variety of audiences.
- A team player, able to work with other functions to find the best solution for the organisation as a whole.

Education and Qualifications

- Relevant Finance qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA) strongly recommended
